Recommended Tools
Over time, I'll post tools here that I think useful and a good value. FYI, I don't personally recommend traffic exchanges or purchased internet leads, because even as a professional writer, I've found that they don't respond well to written materials. If you have a heart that can handle a lot of rejection and you have plenty of extra time, you may find success with calling them. It depends on how you want to do business.
In general, I like tools that work passively -- that is, they work as an INVITATION. I like to WELCOME people to explore what I have to offer, and have them look into it when the time is right for them. They can read my material or call me or watch a video or listen to an audio, but they're doing it on their terms. Tools like this may generate your OWN leads -- people who specifically fill out a form to have you write or call them. That's when you can feel great about following up -- this makes the business FUN. FREE Website Creators Having a website allows you to attract visitors through searches online -- people are looking for your offer. The perfect lead! Your website will infuse your personality, your viewpoints on a business, and will attract those who resonate with what you present. Of course this means you want something that's easy to make look GOOD, and a lot of systems are hard to learn or hard to make look good. There are a few popular options that I think are easy to use and easy to achieve a good look with. Consider the popular options of Wordpress, Blogger, or Weebly, which was used to make this website. I like Weebly because it is a matter of just dragging elements where you want them, then clicking in the areas you want to edit and typing away. VERY thorough tutorials on everything you can do with their sites. And if you're willing to put a couple hours into your education, you can visit this page for basic and advanced videos on using Weebly. Hey, this is free education, and it's a free website builder. (Pro upgrade available.) Now it's just a matter of YOU wanting to put the time in for success! My eSig This is an inexpensive, eye-catching way to share your business with every e-mail you send. For just $59/year -- $5/month -- you get 2 signatures that you can modify any time. They already have animated templates for most of the popular network marketing programs and for many traditional businesses. (Or customize your own.) And they have a 5-level affiliate program without any requirements for compensation besides having your own paid account. You can see my personal sample below: FREE: IM Faceplate
This is one of the nicest social networks I've found, with an absolutely clean interface and the ability not only to "Shout" on the public wall, comment on other people, connect with individuals, and link to your favorite sites, but also to write quality articles if that's your style. There are plenty of places to write articles online, but here you connect yourself with all your articles and can include keyword links within the content. Free forever, but there are upgrade options that can take you a bit further if you like. FREE: IBOsocial Another totally FREE tool that allows you to network in the right way. You are allowed to talk about your businesses, and link to them, and include videos, and write blogs. But when writing directly to associates, you are asked to NOT try selling to them. Rather, you're asked to create relationships. This way, it's not just a bunch of people trying to sell to each other. Click the link above or the banner below to join for free. FREE: ListQUIK They have over 10,000 members, and you can reach 200 of them (randomly selected) every 3 days for free. The catch? You'll end receive e-mails from other members too. You can also upgrade to reach 1000 or 4000 members every 3 days (lifetime or monthly fee options). You can also reach MORE people with each mail if you click on links in people's mail or surf some member websites. I like this because members are given an incentive to look at what others are offering for a minimum of 15 seconds if they want credits. And that you use THEIR mailer (which also gives you a SPAM rating before you send). You just have to be up to receiving member e-mails. (That's what mail folders are for?) |
