People put plenty of time into things that don't do them much good, or things they enjoy just in the moment. But what if 10 minutes of simple work legitimately paid you $90 over the course of one year, and another $90 every following year?

And what if another 10 minutes into it, you were able to earn another $162 per year?

Just for kicks, I was thinking of Cash Texts in this way. While they aren't sending out many texts yet, they believe they are close to sending out regular text messages, and if you maxed out at receiving 5 per day, you could earn up to $7.50/month ... or $90 per year ... just by signing up one time and filling out your profile.

Then if you spent a few more minutes just telling the people you know about it, getting just THREE people on board who also maxed it out (5 texts per day) would earn you another $13.50/month, or $162 per year. If you got more people than that, or they shared with others, the earnings could grow.

I don't assume anyone will really get 5 texts every day, but there is so little work involved in joining, and so little work involved in sharing, it's one program that really can pay you back at a ridiculously high pay for the time you put in.

_They say it takes money to make money, but if you looked historically at many of the richest Americans, you'd see that they came from nothing. Well, no money anyway. Some began their rise to wealth from just a few dollars. What it did take was ingenuity, tenacity, the ability to surround themselves with the right people, and no doubt the willingness to work hard.

Not everyone has these qualities, but luckily businesses make it easy for us to still enjoy what looks like "something for nothing." Once you buy a TV set, you get basic TV for nothing. You get magazines and newspapers cheaply. You can even get a Kindle for less ... all because of advertising.

But what if instead of getting TV, cheap magazines, or low-cost Kindles ... you could just get the cash? What if advertisers would pay you directly for your kind attention to their messages?

Thanks to the digital world -- where delivery costs little to nothing -- advertisers don't have to spend on printing and postage, but they do have to pay for attention. If they use the Pay Per Click model in search engine results, they pay more and more to get seen vs. other businesses. But what if you just opted in to their ads and they could spend less to reach you by paying YOU rather than Google or the others?

Then the business and consumer both win -- by leaving the middleman out.

That is the model of a few current businesses trying to connect businesses to consumers who have opted in and volunteered information about their age, gender, location, interests, etc. In my opinion, though, most of these businesses have made it hard for the consumers to engage, so success has been minimal.

This is where I'm excited about the prospect of Cash Texts, where opting in is easy, and once you're in, the ads come right to your pocket. You don't have to log in to a website or spend time watching them. They're sent to you on your mobile phone, and you're paid whether you open them or not.

With this program, you can earn a maximum of $7.50/month without referring anyone else, just to receive ads. So this really is "free money," even if it's not a lot. This assumes you're in a country where they're sending text messages.

EARNING A WHOLE LOT MORE
More importantly, if you want to earn a lot of money with this program, is that these ads come directly to those you've referred into the program. So you're not hoping they'll log in or watch ads. They just get them and you're paid accordingly.

The possibility at Cash Texts is that each person referred into your group -- on FIVE LEVELS of referrals -- is worth up to $4.50 to you. This assumes they're receiving 5 texts a day for 30 days, which assumes they've filled out their profile and advertisers want to reach them. I prefer thinking about this program on a more conservative scale. What if everyone in my group is worth $1 to me?

Then if I refer just 3 people (to a totally free program) who refer 3 more, and this continues on ... if everyone is worth $1/month to me, then I have:

3 + 9 (3 referring 3 each) + 27 + 81 + 243 = 363 people = $363/month. That's a nice car payment for referring 3 people to a free program. (And of course this same number could be worth more than $1000/month, depending on the number of texts received by the group.)

REALLY ACHIEVING SUCCESS
Of course the math will never work out perfectly like that, and anyone wanting to turn this into meaningful income is best advised to share this with 15 or more people who would verify their mobile phones to receive ads. From these, maybe 3 (20% of the total) would be active enough to duplicate that effort. If they did, and no one else made referrals, this is how the numbers go:

YOU Refer:
15 People (3 will refer 15 more each)
45 People (9 will refer 15 more each)
135 People (27 will refer 15 more each)
405 People (81 will refer 15 more each)
1215 People (Last level you're paid on)

Total = 1815 People. Everyone in this model is look for 3 VERY ACTIVE people, and everyone in the group is at least willing to verify their mobile. If each person receives about one text a day, you could earn $1800 per month on this group. Of course the maximum possible is over $8000/month!

So can you make money for FREE? With programs like this, you certainly can. Of course you're still putting in time to share it and perhaps to show your referrals how to share it with others. You may spend a little on business cards. How you do it is up to you. But you don't have to invest anything in the business itself, and with word of mouth and a free website given to you, making money for free is definitely on the table.

I've been talking about CashTexts, where you're supposed to earn 5 cents for every text you receive, and then more money from the texts received by those you refer and those they refer through 5 levels. I've said its success would boil down to advertisers wanting to use it and texts being sent out.

Well they just sent out their first texts, starting late last night. I received my first text today.

This week we're supposed to have a system in place where we can track how much we're earning from texts received by ourselves and our teams. I'll keep track of its progress here.

I'm typically careful about recommending an income opportunity before it's launched because I like to know how it's running, what the products or services are like, etc. But CashTexts is worth checking out because there's no cost to the program, and it makes sense to get in early and make referrals as people are piling on so quickly.

In its first 6 weeks, they've gained about 26,000 members. Because it's free and the whole premise is to simply receive text and SMS messages and get paid a nickel for every one. Plus ... refer others to do the same, and get paid when people through 5 levels of referrals are getting texts.
